Sync settings is the control panel for one connected store. Open it from the store card menu. The drawer has three sections: data from Shopify, data to Shopify, and the customer list assignment. The initial sync button sits at the bottom.
The drawer pops open automatically right after you connect a store. You can re-open it any time from the store card.

Customer list

Every store needs a Spotzee customer list to receive its imported customers. The customer list picker shows up in the drawer when Customer profiles is on. Two options:
  • Pick an existing list from the dropdown.
  • Create a new list named after the store from the same picker.

One list per store

Each Shopify store gets its own dedicated list. Lists already assigned to another store are greyed out in the dropdown so you can’t accidentally mix customers from different stores.

Switching the list

You can change which list is assigned any time. Customers already imported don’t move; the change applies to future imports only. To move existing customers, either re-sync (which re-creates them on the new list) or migrate manually.

Run the initial sync

Once toggles and customer list are configured, run the initial sync.
1

Confirm toggles

Double-check the sync-from toggles, sync-to toggles, and customer list assignment in the drawer.
2

Start the initial sync

Choose Start initial sync at the bottom of the drawer.
3

Wait for completion

The button changes to a progress indicator. Each enabled entity processes in turn (Customers → Orders → Products → Collections). Time depends on how much data your store carries; small stores finish in seconds, large stores take a few minutes.
After the initial sync completes, real-time webhooks keep your data current. You don’t need to re-run the initial sync unless you change settings dramatically or suspect divergence.

When to re-run sync settings

Open sync settings whenever you need to:
  • Toggle a category on or off.
  • Change which customer list new customers land on.
  • Verify the current toggle state.
  • Run a manual re-sync from the Sync status section (see Sync operations).
