The Sendmux integration is a read-only window into your Sendmux account from inside Spotzee. Connect once with an API key and the Spotzee Email Proxy Tool surfaces your Sendmux delivery metrics, provider stats, billing summary, and delivery logs without leaving the project.
This integration is read-only. Provider configuration, routing rules, quotas, sending domains, and all account-level Sendmux setup live on https://docs.sendmux.ai and are managed from the Sendmux dashboard. Spotzee shows what’s there; it doesn’t configure it.

What you can see in Spotzee

Once connected, the Email Proxy Tool inside your project has two tabs:
  • Overview: delivery metrics over a window you pick, provider statistics, billing balance, and a spend summary.
  • Logs: per-message delivery logs with filtering by status, date, and provider. See Sendmux delivery logs.
What you can do only on Sendmux.ai (not in Spotzee):
  • Add or remove SMTP, Gmail, or Microsoft 365 providers.
  • Configure provider quotas, routing rules, and traffic distribution.
  • Manage sending domains, tracking domains, and DKIM.
  • Run test sends, import providers via CSV, and configure groups.
For all of those, follow the link from the Spotzee Tool to your Sendmux dashboard.

Before you connect

You’ll need:
  • A Sendmux account at sendmux.ai with at least one provider configured.
  • A Sendmux API key that starts with smx_root_. Generate one in the Sendmux dashboard under your account’s API settings.
  • The Spotzee project admin role.

Connect Sendmux

1

Open the Email Proxy Tool

Inside the project, open Tools and pick Email Proxy (Sendmux.ai). If no API key is configured, you’ll land on a setup screen.
2

Paste your Sendmux API key

Paste the API key that starts with smx_root_ into the field and submit.
3

Validate

Spotzee validates the key against Sendmux. On success, the Tool refreshes and the Overview tab populates with your account data.
If validation fails, the key was rejected. Common causes: wrong key copied (must start with smx_root_), key revoked in the Sendmux dashboard, or insufficient permissions on the key. Generate a fresh key and try again.

What the Overview tab shows

SectionWhat you see
Email metricsSent, delivered, bounced, complained counts over a window (last 24h, 7 days, 30 days, or custom range). With period-over-period change indicators.
Provider statsPer-provider activity: messages sent, success rate, last-seen activity, current status.
Billing balanceYour Sendmux account’s current credit balance.
Billing summarySpend over the past N days.
The data refreshes when you reload the page. There’s also a manual refresh action on each section if you want to pull the latest values without a full page reload.

Filter by provider

The Overview tab has a provider filter that scopes metrics to a single Sendmux provider. Useful when you want to compare two SMTP servers, or look at just your Gmail-routed traffic. The full list of providers comes from your Sendmux account; Spotzee doesn’t manage providers itself.

Disconnect

Removing the API key disconnects the integration. Spotzee stops calling Sendmux and the Tool surface returns to the setup screen.
1

Open the Email Proxy Tool

Open Tools and pick Email Proxy (Sendmux.ai).
2

Disconnect

Use the disconnect action on the Overview tab. Confirm at the prompt.
Disconnecting only removes the API key reference inside Spotzee. Your Sendmux account and providers are untouched on the Sendmux side. Reconnect any time by pasting the key back in.

Rotating the API key

Two-step swap, like any credential rotation:
1

Issue a new Sendmux API key

On the Sendmux dashboard, generate a new smx_root_ key.
2

Update Spotzee

In the Email Proxy Tool, paste the new key. Spotzee validates and starts using it immediately.
3

Revoke the old key

On Sendmux, revoke the old key once Spotzee is using the new one.
